Advocann, founded by Heather Savage-Stewart, is a Canadian advocacy and medical assistance company out of Edmonton, Alberta. Heather has worked for Alberta Health for over 30 years. Throughout that time she has seen patients and their families struggle to navigate the sometimes confusing medical system. Her biggest concern is the “Sandwich Generation” who will have to contend with aging parents while also still raising their children. She strives to provide a compassionate, educated guide for people whose parents are aging, cancer patients receiving treatment, and so many others in need of a helping hand. From specialist appointments, coordinating transportation and home care, to hospital visits and home assessments, Heather can help. This branding project is so close to home for me. I have been through the process of aging loved ones in care, my husband having 11-hour surgery, discussing treatments and options, and I know on a personal level how much Heather’s services are needed.
